A genuine welcome at Lurgan House Bed and Breakfast.

lurganhouse Reception

Hospitality is the traditional hallmark of  Lurgan House bed and breakfast accommodation, and that’s just what you’ll find from the Scahill family at Lurgan House B&B Westport. Our comfortable family home welcomes guests from all over the world; guests who often become our friends.

Lurgan House bed and breakfast is just a couple of minutes walk from Westport town centre, off the Louisburgh Road, and the dramatic plum wall colour makes us very easy to find. The breathtaking views are the first thing visitors notice – right out across Clew Bay to Achill Island and Clare Island, and south to the towering peak of Croagh Patrick. Ena invites guests to settle in with a complimentary cup of tea and home baked scones, while they start planning their holiday. We’re always happy to help with a bit of local knowledge and advice.

Westport has so much to offer visitors, choosing is the only problem! Lurgan House BnB is perfectly located for walking, cycling or driving to many activities and attractions. The new Greenway walk/cycle trail is accessible almost from the door, via the lovely Railway Walk to The Quay and through the glorious grounds of Westport House. Try climbing Croagh Patrick (or The Reek as it is locally known), swim, surf or walk on one of the many Blue Flag beaches or go for a scenic drive in just about any direction.

Lurgan House Bed and Breakfast has 4 comfortable, spacious rooms with single and king size beds, a guest lounge, free Wi-Fi access and ample secure parking. Ena offers a choice of delicious breakfasts, all freshly cooked to order, which often appear with favourable comments in the Guest Book. We are happy to recommend local cafes, pubs and restaurants for lunch and evening meals.

Dining-RoomWestport is a very picturesque town, full of character and heritage, and has won national and international awards on many occasions. The most recent was ‘Best Place in Ireland to Live”. We’re pretty sure it’s the best place in Ireland to holiday as well.
